Study in Malaysia from Bangladesh

As a student considering my options for higher education after completing both my O levels and A Levels in Bangladesh, I have been researching different countries that offer quality education at an affordable cost. That is when I discovered my option to study in Malaysia, a lovely and diverse Southeast Asian country with breathtaking scenery and excellent food, as well as an exceptional education system that attracts students from all over the world. In this article, I’ll explain why I chose Malaysia as my higher education location, from its high-quality education and low living costs to its multicultural environment and simplicity of obtaining a student visa. If you’re thinking about studying in Malaysia for a Bachelor’s degree, I hope my experience and insights will be useful to you. Point to note here is I am from STEM background.

Affordable cost to complete study in Malaysia

My top priorities when researching schools were their rankings, followed by their cost. Malaysia boasts world class international universities such as: Monash University (my university), Swinburne University, Tailors University and so on. The local universities here are also globally recognized some of them include: Universiti Melaka, Universiti Islam Malaysia. Almost all of the universities in Malaysia have a really strong focus on science and technology. The fact that English is widely spoken in Malaysia, making it simple to converse and study in an English-speaking atmosphere, particularly appeals to me as an international student. Additionally, Malaysian universities offer a vibrant campus life with many extracurricular activities, clubs, and societies that cater to students’ interests. Moreover, when we are speaking about the cost, the international universities provide the same education and experience at one-third the cost. With all these factors in mind, I believe that Malaysia offers a great learning experience for students in a budget who want to pursue their academic goals while also enjoying a culturally enriching experience.

Easy to obtain student visa

One more advantage of choosing Malaysia as a study destination is the ease of obtaining a student visa. Malaysia has a streamlined visa application process that is designed to make it easy for international students to obtain a student visa. The process is straightforward, and the requirements are clear, making it easy for students to prepare their application. Additionally, the Malaysian government has recently introduced a new initiative that allows international students to apply for a visa online, making the process even more convenient. This online visa application system (https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my) reduces the processing time and makes it easier for students to track the status of their application. My visa was approved and processed under 5weeks, which is impressive and way less stress compared to other higher study destinations. Overall, the ease of obtaining a student visa for Malaysia is a significant advantage, as it reduces the stress and uncertainty of the visa application process, allowing students to focus on their studies and enjoy their experience in Malaysia.

Halal Food options

Another factor that drew me to Malaysia is the combination of its affordable living costs and delicious food. Malaysia has a lower cost of living compared to many other countries, making it easier for students to manage their expenses and live comfortably. At the same time, Malaysia is renowned for its diverse and flavorful cuisine, with influences from Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures. From mouth-watering street food to high-end restaurants, there’s no shortage of culinary delights to explore in Malaysia. Moreover, Malaysia’s beautiful natural environment is another attraction for me. With stunning beaches, rainforests, and mountains, there’s plenty to explore outside of the classroom. The country also has a strong focus on sustainable development, making it an ideal destination for students who care about the environment. With a combination of affordable living, delicious food, and a beautiful natural environment, Malaysia is an ideal place for students looking for a well-rounded experience while pursuing their academic goals.
